Hangzhou city, about forty-five minutes away from Shanghai by train, is an international tourism city and one of the ancient capitals in China with 4700 years history and profound cultural heritage. The famous West Lake is like a brilliant pearl embedded in the beautiful and fertile shores of the Hangzhou Bay. The West Lake scenic zone encompasses an area of 6 square kilometers. In 2011, Hangzhou West Lake was inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage. Besides the beautiful natural sceneries, Hangzhou is a city of leisure and affluence with many honors like "Home of Silk", and "Capital of Tea".

Reputed as "Home of Silk", Hangzhou is the jumping-off point of the Silk Road on the Sea. As far back as 4,000 years ago, people in this region were weaving silk. Today Hangzhou Silk is one of the oldest and the most well known names in the business.

The region has a mild climate, being warm and sunny in May.

It is convenient to arrive in Hangzhou. You may arrive in Shanghai Pudong international airport (PUDONG) and take train to Hangzhou, or directly arrive in Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH).
